Rest, Heal, Reset: Restorative Yoga with Julie (6 classes, Summer 2017)
Restorative yoga is a deeply relaxing form of yoga that can calm anxiety, improve digestion and immune function, and help us sleep. By supporting our bodies with props in restful positions for 5-10 minutes at a time, we practice mindful calm, a habit that can help us greatly in our day-to-day lives. We will also include mindfulness meditations and other practices that we can apply to our practice and continue to use in our day-to-day lives.
This class is an excellent support for people working with injuries, chronic pain, stress, anxiety, insomnia, pregnancy, and many other human conditions, as long as resting quietly in a room with other people is comfortable.
