Pelvic Floor Therapy with Chiara (7 classes, May 2017) CAD$139.65 • 7 visits •

In this class we take our time to focus on one of the most important but highly overlooked parts of our bodies: the pelvic floor. If you have had children, have had post natal complications, are pregnant, thinking of pregnancy, have lower back pain, sciatica, encounter incontinence, want to gain core strength, or just want to increase awareness of your pelvic floor, then this class is for you.

Over the course of our 7 weeks, we will seek release, connection, and relaxation, and bring awareness to this part of our bodies. We will begin with plenty of discussion and conversation as this can be a sensitive area that we may never have tapped into before. Then we will move into a simple and basic movement flow focusing on leading from our pelvic floor. The last part of the class will involve gentle stretching, releasing, and relaxation techniques to dive further into sensation and awareness. As we progress together, we may explore some stronger Pilates based exercises and use massage balls to help release the legs and pelvis. Each class will finish off with the deep, relaxing guided “yogic sleep” called yoga nidra. Together we will find a source for our own inherent power, enabling us to move more fluidly and solidly in our day-to-day lives.

This class is appropriate for all levels.


Unlimited Access Pass (May 2017) CAD$266.70 • 108 visits • This pass gives you unlimited access to most of the classes we are running on the schedule (*see below) for the May session running May 13th-June 30th (7 weeks). With this pass, you are entitled to pre-enrollment in two of our weekly classes: please email julie@oceanandcrow.ca to tell us which two you would like. For all the other classes you'd like to take, please enroll online at beforehand in each individual class to ensure you get a spot.

The price of this class is valued at an average of two full courses plus two drop ins, but you can come as often as you like. It's a great deal if you plan on coming more than twice a week.

Chiara has used movement has her expressive medium since she was 3. Growing up dancing she started to explore herself this way. Moving into yoga and then Pilates as an adult this brought her to find a deep connection to her pelvic floor. She is focused on women’s health and pelvic floor health and seeks to help other people dive deeper into their own bodies and minds.

Refunds are available before May 6th with a $10 processing fee. No refunds will be issued after May 6th.
