Yoga to Heal the Nervous System with Julie (May 2017)
In each of these progressive classes, learn to tone and support your nervous system so you can manage stress and easily access rest. Learn practical tools from the perspective of yoga, psychology, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and other modalities to rebalance your nervous system. These practices can help with everything from digestion to hormonal balance and sleep. We will work with a range of gentle practices to soothe the body, connect with the breath, negotiate with the mind, and find deep rest.
This class will involve 10 minutes or so of discussion, a range of gentle movement practices, and 5-10 minutes at a time of guided stillness in restorative postures. You may wish to bring your journal. Everyone welcome.
